APPTA produces 160 tons of cocoa every year. This organic cocoa is produced in a minute detail and with a great respect of the environment in order to obtain the highest quality for the product.
Within the APPTA nursery, the cocoa production is done in several steps. The harvest of cocoa takes place from October to December then is the pot breaking to collect the cacao bean that is fermented for 6 days and then dried.
The cocoa is the principal activity of our association and several varieties with different flavour are produced.
This product has been marketed both at the domestic level and at the international level. Sales are realised under the Fair Trade concept thus permitted for the producers to have higher income. Companies as Alce Nero (Italy) or Bernrain (Switzerland) support APPTA, by marketing chocolate bars realized from our cocoa grounds
