Here at APPTA we provide grafted cacao varieties of the highest quality. Within the domain of organic agriculture, there are certain well-known diseases that affect cacao trees, and their pods, undermining the farmer. The most common agricultural disease in Talamanca is Monilia or Moniliopthora Roreri that is prevalent in much of Latin America.
This is why we are tireless in our search for natural remedies, free of chemicals to combat these kinds of diseases. We use a root stock of excellent quality and resilience, as well as a bud wood from proven Monilia resistant trees and prolific fruit production. This method, supplemented with organic composts from the forest has been proven an effective solution to common plagues and diseases in organic agriculture.
